NLA? Dang, I have Gump's wheel. Pretty good shape for being that
old. I would part with it for $50. I have two more in less nice
condition. Got a white on at PnP that sold on eBay years ago for $100

It's black/greyish.
If anyone wants it, make a reasonable offer, and it'll be on it's way.

Black or white? They used to be $225 new but I think the black wheel has
been discontinued and is NLA. Check with Tom Hanson at the Classic Center.
If the white wheel is still available, I'm guesing that the MB Club discount
price is probably in the $350 range.

Yep, W108.
Was bought new from the dealer, the car it was going to go in was 90%
finished with a restoration when it was caught in a shop fire.
The wheel escaped being cooked due to the fire not getting to the
storage areas/parts room.

I have the stock wheel from my long-since-sold '80 280SLC. I wouldn't
be at all surprised if it would fit. I'll send it to you for the
price of shipping if you want to try it. (

Grey/black color.
1972, would that be a W108?
I'd love to have a new W116 wheel, a raccoon gnawed on mine.

Aren't you going to tell us how you came across that? Sounds like
something from one of the "Pickers" TV shows.
