Bug ID: 5754 Summary: Author name encoding issues in obsoletion marker "obsfate" Product: Mercurial Version: 4.4.2 Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: bug Priority: wish Component: evolution Assignee: bugzi...@mercurial-scm.org Reporter: k...@kwi.dk CC: mercurial-devel@mercurial-scm.org, pierre-yves.da...@ens-lyon.org There's a character encoding bug in how the "obsfate" is recorded. I keep seeing things like this, as I move between Windows (cp1252) and Linux (utf-8), though the actual committer name shows up just fine: obsolete: rewritten by S├╕ren L├╕vborg as 9ea591f267a6 obsolete: rewritten as 334971:0e378c3b9d45 by S<F8>ren L<F8>vborg Looks like the name is stored in the platform encoding, instead of UTF-8. This is using Mercurial 4.4.2 and evolve 7.0.0. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. _______________________________________________ Mercurial-devel mailing list Mercurial-devel@mercurial-scm.org https://www.mercurial-scm.org/mailman/listinfo/mercurial-devel
