If you're trying to record from within Metacard, and it has to be
from within Metacard, no ideas.
If you're just trying to record to import into Metacard, I just use
an empty stack, lauch ResEdit, open the sound resource, and record
via ResEdit. It creates a sound resource that I can then ope
You can easily use a long-running Metacard stack in the background- just launch it normally and communicate from your CGI using sockets (or any other IAC).
Problem is- you can only handle one connection at a time with the long-running stack.

95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP" section and get the file mcsetup.exe.
I don't know what an asx file is never seen one, the mac files would end in
.sit and all the unix builds are .tar

No, nor have I. I've been told there is a bug in QuickTime (I have
not tried the most recent version of it.)
