As a Scot who stays in Bulgaria I am reasonably well
informed about Bagpipes:
Scots war pipes (as opposed to flat pipes) have 3 drones
and can sound terrifying (hence their use in wars),
Bulgarian bagpipes have one drone and are altogether
gentler beasts.
The RunRev IDE also comes from Scotland - and, like Scots
bagpipes, is
full of possibilities but can be terrifying,
The Metacard IDE (correct me if I am wrong) originated in
the USA, and is
a gentler beast.
More can be obtained from Scots pipes than Bulgarian ones -
but it takes more effort, persistance, and MORE PUFF.
