Hello list,
About 5 years ago I saw a show on TLC about meteorites. It talked about Bob
Haag and how he hunts for meteorites and it talked about some famous
meteorites around the world. This documentary is what first got me
interested in meteorites. I went out and found every black rock in the

Graham,
Just did almost the same thing with my CD-RW. I just recorded over 700meg of
pics I took this year...luckily most of them are on another disc.
Try writing to TLC. Most every show they have is available on VHS for sale.
I believe they also have that same segment with Mr. Haag on a

Hello list members,
I do not want to upset anyone here but I am confused on this Willamette
issue.
The American Museum of Natural History bought it in 1906. I assume from
the Indians.
Two years ago, after the opening of the museum's Rose Center, the tribes

The museum probably bought it from the land owners, who were at the time a
logging concern, if memory serves. Isn't this the same meteorite where a
neighbor found the meteorite on the other guy's property, and spent about
a year carving a road to it and dragging it back onto his land so he could

I got some new meteorites from Michael Casper:
Gao, H5 chondrite
Henbury, medium octahedrite
Sikhote-alin, coarsest octahedrite
And it looks like the henbury and the gao are oriented!!! I have never had
an oriented meteorite before so I am not sure. I also got a signed

Wow!
I also got a signed hard-cover copy of rocks from space
So now it's about time to open your new hard-cover copy at page
158! There's plenty of info on oriented beauties! (pp. 158-162)
Cheers,
Hi Matteo
You are probably correct. This guy is sick of my emails
telling him that if he was selling Canadian meteorites, that
he better have an export permit.
In fact, he is NOT worried about a Canadian export permit
because he is NOT selling any known Canadian meteorites.
He has no

Dear Sir,
Just a quick e-mail to report a meteor that appeared to burn up over Widnes
on Friday night, Saturday morning. We were travelling towards Widnes from
Liverpool (travelling east) and something large with a green tail appeared
in the sky above us and then disappeared in a green flash.
It still begs the question
What is he selling? Are these, in fact, iron deposits found in and around
this old crater. If so are they meteorites?
I doubt they are or they would have been classified a long time ago. Still,
I would like to know what he is selling.

Hi Mike and list.
We are Canadians! No one gives a $^*! about a new possible
Canadian find. We are the only possible hope, to investigate,
or research these claims. I say, let's not sit on our Butts.
Best regards,
