Use WD 40 it will desolve the tape.

Hi all,
We have had some very tiny mineral crystals (.05 in.) become stuck to
gooey scotch tape by having the Post Office crush a vial they had been
sent to us in. They are quite valuable. The tape accidentally but
fortunately saved a few.
Now we need to separate the little guys from the goo. Ou
