Now is anyone interested in specimens of the rarest

I have been to his website witch is quite interesting and everyone should
cruise on by. However, I must take exception to his trashing of dark side

have a nice ring to it. Much more so than far side of the moon. Even

Tunguska, Siberia was the site of a blast with the explosive
power of 1000 atomic bombs that flattened 2100 square kilometres
of forest in 1908. Scientists have blamed an asteroid, but
remarkably they have found no crater, no evidence of meteorite
fragments and no significant chemical traces.

Hi Ron All,
As far as I can tell, then, this should be conclusive proof that the
event WAS a meteorite - specifically, a common chondrite - rite?
Is this, then, accepted as an established fact by the scientific branch
of the meteoritics community?

Hello list:
I have posted 5 micros of the Dashouguz, Turkmenistan, H5, chondrite on ebay
for Sunday night (July 28). This meteorite is listed in Bulletin 86 and is

I've often wondered... since the moon has virtually no atmosphere to slow
down impactors, wouldn't a far higher percentage of material be converted to
energy and unidentifiable components upon impact with the moon?
Or could the dynamics of the ejection and capture process result in fairly

Hi list. I just got the latest issue of Sky and Telescope. In it, it has a
picture of the 40 gram half cut of the NWA 011 meteorite. It also has a
short article in it. It is very interesting. This elusive rock is sitting
in a Japanese rock place. They have it all.
I have to say I really love reading this type of
announcement. I especially love those with invisible
matter. I like to dissect them to see if they have
a consistent world view and where they are illogical.
It is a good thinking exercise and a heck of a lot of fun.
In this case I have

Dr Robert Foot suggests that many of the missing comets could be
made of an exotic material called 'mirror matter', a new type of
invisible matter...
If the events of Tunguska and Jordan are
the results of mirror space-bodies, then tonnes of mirror
matter might lie hidden just below the surface

Greetings list,
I was one of the two that Steve met a couple of weeks ago, and he
really is a very nice guy. He loves meteorites and like most of us
has a deep passion for them. Some might think he is over zealous, but
that is just his incredible enthusiasm for collecting, buying and
selling
I believe that the person who said you were spamming is very intolerant, and
judgmental. Their accusations should be taken with a grain of salt, or
chondrite if you prefer. You email the list often, and you're new. That
seems to annoy the older, crotchety folk. The purpose of this list is the
