I also just took a look at the really interesting
article on oriented meteorites in this month's Meteorite Times. The opening
paragraph got me thinking about one of my pieces.

Struck, if this object was large enough and slow
enough (to go sub-sonic) to produce sonic booms,
then Australia most assuredly DID get struck by a
meteorite.
What a waste. There's another meteorite that won't
get searched.
