Not having been present to experience the mysterious shadow, I'm willing to let it go as "unknown." I would tend to agree with the List member who thought that any asteoid large enough to make a significant shadow on earth would be rapidly spotted by EVERYONE who routinely looks for these objects.

There are planes that fly at an extremely fast pace.. The SR71 crossed the US in about an hour.. best I remember.. Now that is booking. There are faster craft now. By the time it caused the shadow it was gone perhaps. Also there are colorations to camouflage aircraft so that they cannot be seen fr
