G'day Bob,
I put together a bit of information regarding the preservation of irons on
the Odds Ends page at my site. You can find it at:
http://www.meteoritesaustralia.com/oddsends.html
Hopefully there is something there which may help you. It worked great for
my 111g Chinga slice.
Good luck,
I just want to thank mike blood on a great auction. I got some nice items. Thanks for the jenson boys for keeping the beer flowing. In chicago we like to drink. I can only imagine how much more I would have bid on, if I kept drinking. The only downer was the cat mountain was missing. I WAS GOING TO
Yes
that was my piece! What happened to it? Anyone know? Michael, we need to
talk.
Next
year, it would be good, if you had some display cabinets protecting the
specimens, like Darryl has.
Its
obvious we cannot trust everyone.

send in, as I don't believe most of them are list topics. So, I have placed
them at the top of my Tucson Auction page at:

No one owns the main mass! You are repeating

Hello List,
Anyone out there know where a guy can get a small
Saratov fragment with crust? Looking for an end cut or slice with crust at
~50 gms.. I hear getting a crusted sample is difficult but I thought I
should try.
Thanks and Cheers,

Mark,
Your ideas sound reasonable. I have yet to consider this level of
protection. Pieces like 753 go in membrane boxes for me...which are somewhat
protective. However, the relative lifespan for all things in this earthly
environment is a matter of decay. Some meteorites will go faster than

Hi Mike / List
The best I can do is provide you with an image of
an
87.3g cut fragment with crust, whichI acquired
from
Eric Twelker a few years back. The only crusted
one
he had available I
believe.
