Marcia,
I am not advocating that every Iron be treated in this way, just the
ones where all other hope has gone. All this rust treatment does is
provide a stable coating that protects against moisture and air getting
to the inside, it won't halt all rusting for ever but it's one hell of a
lot
How about a large iron impacting the Northern hemisphere of Mars
creating an impact basin now filled by lava and mud.
The iron impactor disintegrated and spread iron all over the planet in
a fallout cloud and created a layer of iron rich material on the
surface.

Interesting points!
I think the temperature on mars might also have something to do with the
existence of iron rich 'red soil', frost thaw frost thaw for billions of
years, would create a fine dust, in its self would it not?
Anyone fancy crushing a cold Martian meteorite in rarified CO2

Dear Mark,
No questioning of ethics Mark, just concern about the fact that there is
a product out here in the States that is used for rust treatment on
automobiles, ect., very similiar to the one you described ,that does
turn the rust to a polymer finish, and like I mentioned to you in my
letter,

Hey List, I got it figured out! The large Iron the disintegrated must have
came from the same parent body as the Nantan!

Oh the dreaded "oatmeal cookies". These have
since been renamed "death cookies" because theycause category 5 type
hangovers which means catatonic. I hope these are not proudly served at

Hi, Steve, and all,
When you are talking about a large impactor, the physical properties of the

Dear John and List Members,
Even though it is off topic, enough people have asked what the heck a death

It is a drink with about five different types of liquor in it that tastes
just like an oatmeal cookie. What makes it so dangerous is that you can not
taste the booze in it. A

There are some serious red soils on the eastern seaboard as well. Parts
