Randy, Geoff, and Dave,
I could not agree with you more. I found no humor
in this post, in fact I found it most offensive. The reason for such a post
escapes me, but this is not the first post by Tom K that has me wondering why it
was even sent!

did this without leaving negative feedbacks on eBay and more harassing
emails.

It's funny you should mention this. I, too, read the article and found it

I would like to correct the following statement that I made:
Metamorphic subtypes (the tenths place in the petrologic type) are
routinely determined in a variety of ways, some more accurate and
reliable than others. For a given meteorite, you have to look into
what was done before you can evaluate the usefulness of the assigned
number.

Dear John and List members,
This is a good question that is not easy to
answer. In some cases the petrologic subtype can not be determined to any
degree of accuracy because shock has made it impossible to distinguish thus a 3
designation instead of a 3.X . Shock and Metamorphism are two

Hello Anita, Moni, and List,
a) William Thomson who later became Lord Kelvin lived
from 1824-1907. He can't be the one who first discovered

identical to G.Thomson. Correct? Obviously, he had some problems with
