Hello List,
A very hearty thank you to all those good people on our List that
kindly offered to help out. So many list members have offered to
help in this matter and they were not only from Arizona but from
all over the United States. Mike Miller does live in Kingman and

Hello to the List.
I'm back from my US trip. I have seen some of the
nicest landscapes I've ever seen : Grand Canyon,
Monument Valley NP, Arches, Bryce Canyon, Sequoia NP.
I invite everyone to visit these places.
I also hunted meteorites in dry lakes of the Mojave
Desert, in Franconia, Gold

Hi Eric and List,
That is an excellent idea! I know Eric
has given away many meteorites to countless
kids. I have too. Teachers love them as well.

After following this list for several months let me
just say that no matter what Steve Arnold's business
practices are, he has succeeded in making the bashers
look like, out and out asses. What ever the point the
bashers have tried to make it seems they have failed.

Hi List, I always loved meteorite times and still do, but I was truly offend

Tom,
Didnt Barringer purchase the land that the crater is located in?

Ya right, it was given to him by our generous government sue to some mining
law! Problem was, there was nothing to mine, he new it, but held out until
they handed him the crater!

Sounds to me like he took advantage of a lucrative opportunity.
If they gave it to you, would you have told them to keep it because it was a
meteorite crater?

I finally updated the list of pieces I have here on consignment. Only a

Hey, let the poor man rest in his grave.
You can't judge something done 80 years ago by todays standard.
You have to take into account the society and mindset of that time
and my impression was that he tried to find the main mass until
he ran out of money and investors.
A good advice is don't
A good advice is don't write emails when drunk, you'll regret it.
Not saying that you are drunk, but it's still a good advice.
LOL, that is good advise, maybe I should take up drinking, maybe I would not
get so angry about guys like Barringer keeping me from owning a nice sized
CD! : )
Thanks,
Dear Tom and List,
Another question is why did`t the National Park
Service force the sale of the land so that it would
have become an National Park? Doesn`t the crater
deserve status as a national treasure? Perhaps
politics within the state of Arizona and Bar T Ranch
play a role? Dirk...Tokyo
Hello List,
I'm a bit late on this subject, but I didn't see any mention of the
tiny Franconia irons. Some of them also have very distinct impact pits.
I'll try to photograph them and put them on my webshots site.

Does this mean you'll be giving your recent Franconia find to the

Hey Frank, don't get me started on the Smithsonian! The majority of the
meteorites are not on display, so they do the people no good. Besides
Tom,
Actually Barringer devoted a substantial amount of time and effort to
recover the main mass. Probably more than many of us would ever be capable
of disposing. You would consider that an admirable attribute, wouldn't you?

Dana,
The only reason SSteve gives his specks away instead of selling them
on eBay or giving them to class rooms is simple. It's to draw attention
to himself. How much attention on the list would he have if he gave them
