I finally got around to downloading this remarkable documentary. It's
incredible what the Russians were able to recover by largely manual labor,
owing to the ruggedness of the terrain. I now have new items to be on the
lookout for; I had no idea that metal spheroids (like those recovered from

G'day Folks,
For those of your interested, I've listed some meteor films on a new page. I
have slowing been gathering them for a year or so. I find many are listed by
TV news websites and deleted just days later so I'm trying to build a
library everyone can access. If anyone has more that I could

Dear List Members,
The last 16 specimens of our new Angrite, NWA 2999, that are currently on
eBay are ending today. There are many people who are watching these
auctions and I suspect they will jump on them at the last minute so if you
are interested in any of these, you will want to act
Good idea Lars... I'd be happy to send a cd of this video out to anybody

Skip Wilson of Portales, New Mexico has been hunting blowouts for 40 years,
long before I was born. I believe he was the first to do so in NM and West
Texas. We all learned from him.

CAPE CANAVERAL -- (AP) The Deep Impact space mission came to a spectacular
climax on July 4, 2005,
when NASA successfully collided an 820-pound copper projectile into a giant
comet (Tempel 1). The

They do it on Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa too!!! pretty
cool - there are signs on Saddle road warning of

looking at moving targets
The other problem is the depleted uranium slugs... and

Hi List,
guess I had top look up who is Skip Wilson.
I did not recall ever hearing his name before.
Guess I learned from a pro though because I do have many meteorites to my
name from all kinds of different places.
And Michael, it wasn't Skip Wilson. ;-)
Well Moni, some people it seems misunderstood my post.
I meant that Skip Wilson has extensively searched blowouts since the 1960's.
He has found over 100 meteorites, including the Kenna Ureilite, and so many
others.
Skip is the man when it comes to hunting meteorites.
