Hi, Walter, List
The chief proponent of tektites as ejecta from
lunar volcanoes was John O'Keefe (d. 2000).
Of course Nininger thought of the idea, too,
but neither of them was the first.
The chief expert on lunar glass and tektite analysis
is B. P. Glass, yes, his name is BILLY GLASS. This

Hello Everyone,
I thought I had a paper somewhere in my files but I can't locate it.
There is an old theory, largely discredited I believe, which states that
tektites originate from lunar volcanoes. The glassy beads found in the
lunar regolith and brought back by the Apollo astronauts are o
Hey Rob,
Very nice idea you had incorporating local materials into your 3-D
display. The Buzzards are flying once again! :-)
Thank you Michael for your RFSPOD posts, always enjoyable!

Hi List
I have a 110g fragment of Sulagiri which I would like to trade or sell.
It's about 70mm long and roughly triangular cross-section (38 x 38 x
28 mm). There is one tiny patch of crust (approximately 5mm square).

Hi
Tooday I finally can present my new eucrite. This specimen was very special,
becouse for the first time I was not sure if I hold eucrite or earthrock in
my hands. Very fragile, with "rusty spots" like in earth granite, but it
comes from space.
Crazy rock!

I love the Meteorite Men TV show, its a great way to get meteorites out into
the public attention on a mainstream level. I actually even tried to help
promote it with one of my websites. Its a great thing and I never would make it
seem like a bad thing.

Hey Greg, I agree with you on the museum idea, however, the comment
about the museum and the Meteorite Men, is not entirely accurate.
The Meteorite Men is a show about meteorite hunting, collecting and
value, the science, and of course centers around the adventure. You're

Hi Count, Greg and List,
As a non-member but avid meteorite-freak, here is my two centavos -
I agree with what the Count says about the IMCA's stated purpose.
There is clearly little or no mention of the IMCA being an activist
group to promote an agenda.
But, I can also understand what Greg is s
