I hate to bring up Al-Haggounia again, for fear of starting the aubrite-enstatite issue again. But, I have a question about Al-Hagg that is unrelated to it's problematic classification. Has the terrestrial age of Al-Hagg ever been firmly established? And if so, how long has it been here on Earth

Hi List, This is a curiosity-based question. I know many list members have outstanding and enviable collections. The Hupes, Farmer, Cottingham, Strope, and Kilgore come to mind as dealers/collectors who have insane collections of meteorites that most collectors would drool over. Main masses, fo

Hi Mike and All, Mike quoted, "So this horrible-looking meteorite has been laying around for about 20,000 years, give or take." I wouldn't call it, "horrible-looking", well at least not the 'blue' part of the meteorite! In fact, it is pretty fun to cruise the surface under a microscope! :)

Hi Bob and List, I sounded overly harsh against Al-Hagg. I used to have a nice slice that had a big white chondrule and weathering veins that actually looked pretty decent. It had visual interest and also had a patch/zone of the bluish material. Considering the bargain price of most Al-Hagg, it
