[meteorite-list] Question re asteroids' near-earth encounters

So on the surfaces of these rubble piles, rocks are shaken and turned over, to reveal a fresh, unweathered surface underneath. Question: Is it possible when these rubble piles (asteroids) are shaken by the near-earth encounter that dust/debris could escape from the asteroid and fall eventually
