Magnetic is the term meaning having the properties
of a magnet.
This is sorta like Meteroid, meteor, meteorite.
I'm sorry that I did not get this out sooner, but

Anyone remember the movie "The Magnetic Monster"? A meteorite falls
and, in pulses, eats electricity and becomes an electromagnet (or
something like that - it has been a long time;-). With each growth stage
it becomes more and more powerful and dangerous. Eventually to kill it
they overfeed it

Hello list, Greg, Bernd,
Yes, everone uses the term magnetic but
that is not
like Meteroid, meteor, meteorite.
I'm sorry that I did not get this out sooner, but

Thank you Bernd, Ruben, Simon and everyone for your on and offlist answers!
This is very interesting to say the least.

Some of them are definitely attracted to a magnet!

Are Mars meteorites magnetic at all?
Apologies if this question has been hashed out before, but I'm very
curio
meteorites that natually attract iron, so
why are they described as being "magnetic"? Am I wrong?

Some of them are definitely attracted to a magnet!
One of these is Bob Verish's Los Angeles and when I held
a magnet to one my LAs, it readily jumped to the magnet!

Are Mars meteorites magnetic at all?
Apologies if this question has been hashed out before, but I'm very
curious. I know some Lunar meteorites have visible free iron, and very
slight noticeable magnetism, but, I don't know about Mar meteorites.
Thanks in advance for answers.
