I have good news to share with the meteorite community. My stolen meteorites
have been found and have made their way home. Two months ago i discovered them
missing from my office at the Institute
I just saw Jim Wooddell's post about aluminum foil and the new CM
fall. It turns out that aluminum foil does react somewhat with
carbonaceous chondrite. Apparently the recommended storage material is
Teflon. This is what is used in NASA's Lunar Lab (Teflon bags and
gloves). Cold and dry (nitrogen)

I have some uNWA’s that have rust or a rust color in the crust. This is not
fresh crust.
I would like to remove the rust and or rust color from the surface of these

slight noticeable magnetism, but, I don't know about Mar meteorites.

Just one of many who have watched too much television, are now experts on
meteorites because of it and can classify their own material. I think half of
them have awarded themselves degrees and are now world renowned meteoritists
living vicariously through themselves.

What is the 'standard' instrument used for classifying iron meteorites by trace
element composition and who is doing this kind of work today?

The main classifier of irons is John Wasson at UCLA who uses neutron
activation analysis to get the trace element compositions.

Now there is another fake meteorite... Zunhua. If you have Zunhua it may not be
Zunhua, and it did not come from me.
