I'm in agreement with ya Joe. I LOVE my Xterra 70.It is SO versatile! I have
never had any kind of rock give me a 20-25 on the ferrous scale...If anything,
they come in in the negative...-4-9. I have done EXHAUSTIVE field tests and
retests,(at first I couldnt believe the Xterra was just plain outperforming the
others) putting my Xterra against my goldbug2, and my Whites GMT...Needless to
say, I have sold both the GB2 and the GMT. I have no probs with filtering out
the junk, even in highly mineralized soil, and still pick up a 13 gram LL6 at
3-5 inches! Heck, the Whites and the GB werent even giving a faint signal on
that LL6 at 4 inches, and the Xterra sang out. The thing that throws me most,
is the Xterra is less $$ than the other two were!..Also the batteries last
forever, its more versatile, its lighter, and I have no prob swingin all day,
where the others left me feeelin it at 1/2 day... I like the versatility of
choosin from three coils too. I was
told the Xterra was the first all-digital machine on the market? Well, in my
opinion, the good folks at Minelab got it right from the start.--Mike A.
