Hi all -

When someone who speaks a foreign language buys a book
in another language, and then can not understand it,
does the author/publisher really owe him anything?

In addition, if the reader does not know enough to
read the footnotes, and then complains about lack of
proof, does the author/publisher really owe him
anything?

If that individual then defaces the book, so that it
is no longer of use, does the author/publisher owe him
anything?

Finally, should really ignorant insults be responded
to immediately? Or should one just allow them to
continue, to stand as an even larger monument to the
individual's stupidity?
