Hello Piper, All,
It weighs ~73kg or thereabouts. I'd say between two and three feet long.
Can't say for sure right now - busy packing for New York, leave sometime
around 6am tomorrow, and back next weekend.
Speaking of which - if anyone wishes to contact me, I'll be out for the rest
of the week.

Hello All,
A few weeks ago, someone asked for pics of the main mass - here are a few
that were sent to me several months before it ever turned up in Tucson
(several people reported ownership, and there were digital photographs,
solid photos, and scanned sketches of it going around).

I have received some Taza today. I like it, its a an interesting meteorite

G'day folks,
I need a slice of Taza suitable to cut a 20mm - 25mm diameter disc from but
would also need to be around 3-5mm thick. It does not have to be etched
because it will need to be redone again anyway. If anyone has anything like
this could you please contact me off-list.

Hello List, I have a small Taza individual that has a small coating or rust
on it. It seems as though if the rust was removed, it would look real nice!
what is the best way to remove this rust without hurting the meteorite?

If you are looking for small etched TAZA, go and visit Scott Brey of www.planetbrey.com and maybe Eric Olson of www.star-bits.com, ask him if he has sliced of etched taza. I don’t know who else have etched pieces.

Folks,
does anyone have any more info on the Taza iron from NWA?
I know that "Taza" was just a working name once upon a time and that it has
been classified as a plessitic octahedrite, but has it been officially
named/numbered or even submitted yet?
Thanks in advance,
Rob.

Hello Marcin and List,
There has been only scarce background info on Taza so far.
The only details I have available come from Scott Brey's
comments in Joel Schiff's "Meteorite" magazine:
