Ok Steve-o, I am going to keep your topic alive a little longer.
I believe I own at least one of these 'BL' stones. I ground off a fractured
surface this morning. Take a peek:

No, Mike, this is not the real thing ;-)
Especially this one:

is not one of those BL stones that were found and marketed 5 years ago. The one
above
is probably one of Carsten's recent offers!
The real stuff is here:

I am one million percent sure this is not 869. I over 10 kilos of 869 and it
is definitely not it. The crust on this stone is so much more black, thick,

I decided last night to give my nwa 1685,(THE BLACK
NWA),a real close look, like never before.I found near
where the shiny black crust meets the break point on
one end, thier is a round chondrule about 8 mm sticking
out that is coverd all over by the black crust. It is
like a black mole just sticking
. if anything post the piece
on your site and give us a link. Happy Hunting!!

trade from roman jirasik has alot of nice
thumbprinting, dips, and some flow lines that you really
have to see.It also has some secondary crust as
well. The matrix inside looks like a small
Ohhh I'm sure we'll all see at least one more piece again.
