Hi all,
I'm very happy to announce a new Black Beauty pairing, NWA 11220 (provisional)
Black Beauty is perhaps not an obvious beauty but when you
probe under the surface, beauty is really an understatement! The first
sample recovered, NWA 7034 was not at first even recognised as being from
Mars.
Happy New Year All,
Decent article and photography on the oldest Martian meteorite.

Team Meteorite:
I have avidly followed the work being done on Mars meteorite NWA 7034.
For me it is a meteorite as exciting as Nakhla or Chassigny or
Shergotty or ALH84001.
I have been looking for an opportunity to purchase an affordable
slice, and when I realized that there were pairings, my hop
Thanks for those links Kevinwell expressed...the reason why I had
to have a slice too.

Every now and then, something really special comes out of the NWA
dense collection area that emphasizes how important this area has been
for the planetary sciences. Imagine, in a relatively short span of
time, the cosmos gifted us with Tissint and NWA 7034. That is a
freebie sample delivery from
Hello Listers
I was wondering, will this meteorite ever be sold on the open market or has it
be donated to science already because of its rarity? And if so, what would be
the
value? I mean in science terms, this find could have a few billion $ value or
more cause
that is how much it would cost

It is nice, but I don't see why it would be much
It is nice, but I don't see why it would be much more valuable than say Nakhla
or Shergotty.
