Hi David, Chris and all, When I was at the Smithsonian Museum and in the meteorite display area, they have a display where they took an Allende Meteorite and ground it down (probably for multiple tests) and sorted out the diamonds in it. They then placed the diamonds in a vial to show museum visit

Hi David, listfolk, This is a very interesting question as I find many 19th century references to (1) diamonds and (2) gold found in meteorites. I am usually inclined to label these hoaxes, but perhaps this would be too hasty. If diamonds were seen in meteorites by their finders I suppose they
