Got the chance to see the lovely transit but just barely. Woke up to
overcast and thunderstorms. A look at the GOES 12 infrared photo
revealed a possible opening in northern Minnesota so I got my younger
daughter up and we took off. We drove 90 miles north until we 'pushed'
the clouds away and
Cloudy in Alaska, as usual when there is something up there I want to
see I even got a new solar filter.sigh.
Argh.

clear day in Adelaide. Ive got people from work around me asking how they can use
tea bags and floppy disks and other things as sun filters! No one believes me
that its a bad idea! We only get the start of it. Im hoping to
