Hi Ruben and all,
That's one meteorite I wouldn't want to cut as it is too nice the way
it is. If it were about 10 times larger then maybe.
Best!

Here is a really cool cluster of Seymchan Crystals
Hi Ruben,
Are you going to slice that up? If it could be slicely thinly,
without breakage, I bet the resulting specimens would look awesome.
:)

Hi Gary and List,
I thought the same thing when I saw it. This would be something to
hand cut. You can creep it along and react quicker during the cut - a
cutting jig would be more prone to breakage I bet.
But, one could clear-coat the part-slices that are 100% olivine.
Generally, I am against
Seymchan 1,650g
Symchan started out cheap at $3/g when they first discovered large numbers
and all the first ones cut were pallasitic.
Then they discovered that, in fact, only a small portion had crystals and
just happened to be the first ones sliced.
Since then the price has run between $6/g and
Steve,
My personal experience has been that Brahin and Campo degrade pretty rapidly
here. Seymchan has held up the best so far. Since we reside relatively close we
share the same environmental conditions so you should expect the same results.
I would buy Seymchan first before any other
Please buy a nice specimen of Seymchan and be sure to
let us all know when you list it on ebay.

Seymchan is the most stable Pallasite I have ever
seen. Esquel is just below it. I have NEVER seen a
piece of the Seymchan rust in the last 4 years.
Esquel is just about as good, but I have seen the
smallest rust spot before.

It might also help if you put the word METEORITE in
the title so that it can be found in an eBay search.
Also, I should add that it would be helpfull to spell
METEORITE correctly.
Good Luck... Don

Hi,
i think this is a seymchan. It's a bit hard
to tell from the picture, but the olivines there look a bit greenish
like my seymchan olivine slices.

I haven't seen a better pallasite since Esquel. And Seymchan is CHEAP
