Application Support Team: 1 resource Job description: Provide tier 2 application level support, responsibilities include code deployment, troubleshooting, proactive monitoring, and provide recommendations for process and application enhancements; windows 2003, MS IIS 6, .NET framework Troubleshoot to completion issues in the deployment of software in various environments. Includes troubleshooting networking, operating system, application; typically by phone, pager, email, online, and onsite. Develop scripts, web tools, and technical documentation. Systematically track defects in product functionality and features, and feedback requirements for new or extended software as a peer to the development team. This role may require off hours and shift rotation in a 24x7 work environment. Required Skills: * Expert knowledge of Windows system administration and management, with focus on windows 2003. * Good knowledge of MS IIS 6, .NET Framework environment, MS clustering, SQL 2005 with in depth knowledge of installation, configuration, tuning, and on going administration of the above technologies. *Basic knowledge of Linux administration. *Good understanding and knowledge of Network Configuration and Troubleshooting. *OS network configuration and troubleshooting of IP addressing and basic routing. *Firewall operation, including network and port translation troubleshooting. *Understanding of typical load balancing approaches and configuration. *Good understanding of a software development life cycle * Ability to work well under pressure in a large and complex environment *Strong ability to rapidly narrow down software bugs in complex environments. *At Ease, Effective Verbal and Written Communication. Ability to explain deployment, usage, and troubleshooting instructions, conduct online and in person training, and write sound technical documentation. All Candidates: Desired Background: * Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline. * 5-10 Years of professional experience in software development or software systems implementation. * Certifications MCSE and CCNA preferred.
