This opportunity also involves supporting a team of motivated developers in the deployment of new application releases, providing capacity planning, and reducing manual processes by automation. In addition, you'll diagnose issues and ensure technical solutions meet performance and quality requirements in production. You¡¦ll have the chance to become a key member of the team, enabling Nike to grow and expand its global digital technology offerings. Your work will ensure the availability of our best in class solutions, enabling our consumers to maintain a constant connection with us as we drive the business into the future. Describe what the ETW will be doing in this role: You will work directly with our hosting provider to build, maintain and support infrastructure services including web, application and supporting systems for configuration management, deployment tools and version control. Other tasks may include routine support requests for DNS changes, performance monitoring and other operational activities. Describe the Key Projects/Deliverables associated with this role: This role will not have any key project deliverables. The role will provide operational support for the digital commerce infrastructure. This may include environment setup for projects, but no specifics will be defined. Skills/Roles Required for this Position: (Please quantify the years of experience) Top Must Have: „X5 years of professional experience in Information Technology or IT specific business „X3 years experience in UNIX systems administration „XProven experience installing, configuring and administering either SunOne or Apache Server including SSL certificates and configuration „XCompetent with web-based Java and J2EE architectures „XStrong understanding of Internet technologies including firewalls and load balancers „X3 years of experience using shell and PERL scripting in a production environment „XExperience with version control applications is required. „XAbility to multitask, work in a team, in a fast paced environment „XProven communication skills with management, technical peers and non-technical peers Nice to Have/Highly Desired, but not required: „XJBoss experience is highly desired „XSolid understanding of DNS „XAbility to troubleshoot, debug, and integrate three-tiered web-based systems „XExperience with performance monitoring tools, capacity planning processes „XExperience with Ruby programming language is a plus „XExperience with Subversion version control tools is a plus.
