I was able to adjust the GL name in my report, by changing the name of GL on
the database, but when I would add a new row in the table coa, an error
occurred while mifos run and I can not access the display mifos.
why could that be?

Not sure if you have access to and are comfortable looking at the logs and
database.
In the database, look at the gl_code and coa tables.
It is not necessary to choose a numeric GL code (but you should be aware of
future consequences), so you can experiment with them and check if they come up
