can you make a zipped mysqldump of your mifos database and email it to
me (directly, not to this list).
The error you now see after fixing the 'ethnicity' item Dale mentioned
is likely to do with dates due to a development database or a migrated
database.

I got the same problem before. John from Mifos community helped me fixed it.
Just do the following:
--> Edit the file "load_stg_customer_type1_columns.ktr". Find "cd.ethinicity"
and change it to "cd.ethnicity"
(you can find the file in the ETL folder inside your Mif
