Hey all,
I came across a great blog post from Ignacio Mas in the Stanford Social
Innovation Review titled Remixing
Microfinance<http://www.ssireview.org/blog/entry/remixing_microfinance>that
looks at creating hybrid models that blend together the best features
of the various formal microfinance methodologies as well as informal
financial services.
It got me thinking about Mifos X and our vision and aim to be
methodology-agnostic. Can we design the platform such that the end users
can seamlessly blend together these methodologies or will each one be very
compartmentalized?
I did some reflecting on this, the CGAP virtual conference, and Vision v1
that Craig developed in this post to the COSM blog -
http://www.openmf.org/remixing-microfinance/. Take a look and please share
your thoughts.
