I think there has been a lot of confusion around disbursing loans that I
want to make sure is clear.
When you are creating a loan, you cannot set the loan disbursal date (ie,
scheduled date) in the past.

this is very similar to the schedule being used here.
The main issue is that payments cannot be backdated before the most
recent client meeting date. So, if a client pays on Monday and has a
meeting scheduled in Mifos for that Tuesday, then you will not be able
to apply the payment
