[Mikrotik] If you reduce TTL what does it do?

Hi, I have one link which we are trying to test it. Both side of the link has mikrotik. There is no packet loss with packet size of 50 or 1400. When the packet size is 50, the ttl it gives is 64. If we reduce the TTL what does it test, if anything? I guess I have never played with ttl.

TJ, I have done for dhcp, not for PPOE but My guess is it is same way. For DHCP we have one address pool and then you have option of putting next pool, in the fist pool entry. So use that. Make sure you have both subnet define on the interface. Tushar > -Original Message- > From: mikroti
