I have a couple questions about GraphDefang.
I have MIMEDefang setup to discard any emails that score over 11. the
sa_discard_score action writes a line to the log with 'sa_discard_score'
instead of 'spam'. Does GraphDefang count these as spam as well or
should I add a line to the filter that wi
I am having the same problem with SA 3.01 and MIMEDefang 2.48 on FreeBSD. I
finally did get it working.
I noticed in /usr/loca/bin/mimedefang.pl that LOCAL_RULES_DIR was defined as:
hades# grep LOCAL_RULES /usr/local/bin/mimedefang.pl
my $LOCAL_RULES_DIR = "/usr/local/etc/mimedefang/spamas
I didnt get a URIBL score at all.

I havent seen any of the SURBL hit in any of the scores in caught or uncaught
emails. I was doing some reading and I noticed that you need to set
$SALocalTestsOnly to 0 for it perform network tests. I assume the default value
is for them to perform the tests.
Is there a test that I can do to m

then they will be overwritten the next time I upgrade SA. I dont feel like uploading

I have MIMEDefang/SA installed on FreeBSD and there are two location where the .cf
files are stored. I am wondering which location is the right one.
I have rule files here:
/usr/local/etc/mail/spamassassin/
/usr/local/share/spamassassin/
Thanks,

Any ideas on this error? I am going to assume that my portupgrade of the MIME:Tools
broke Perl or something.
I am on FreeBSD 4.8.

Whets a good stats package for Mimedefang? Running FreeBSD so it's
preferable that it be in the ports collection.

o it looks like this,
$Features{'Virus:CLAMAV'} = ('/usr/bin/clamdscan')
in doing so you define the location of clamdscan or clamscan.

How do you configure MIMEDefang to use ClamAV if you didn't have it
installed and running before you installed MIMEDefang? From my
understanding the installer form MIMEDefang check to see if you have
ClamAv and configures it appropriately.
I got clamav up and running and it seems to work, but when

I changed the value of MX_MAX_AS=3000 to MX_MAX_AS=15 and that fixed
the problem. What should that value be and what does it affect?

Anyone get MIMEDefang running with FreeBSD 4.8? I installed it from the ports
