Cost of Operations Models: What Can They Tell Us?

Over the years, AE has developed industry specific cost of operations models
which simulate the start-up and ongoing operational costs of running a
business in specific target industries such as Life Sciences, Aerospace,
Machinig, Data Centers, Call Centers, Food Processing, Logistics &
Distribution, and Wind Component Manufacturing.
The model is essentially an in-depth breakdown of the cost of doing
business in a region for a specfic type of business.
Among the factors examined are costs related to labor, utilities, local
transportation, cost of real estate, taxes, construction, travel, air fare,
cost of housing, etc. Along with the overall cost of operations, each
aforementioned component of the cost of operations is illustrated in the
analysis. Hypothetical project parameters are developed based on AE's
proprietary knowledge of industry needs; this includes specific labor needs,
building specifications and appropriate land acreage, estimated utility
demands, and capital investment in machinery and equipment.
