One thing is to enable it, but if you run
rcctl start php56_fpm
Does that change your problem?

But none of the laptops mentioned are cheap, so don't know if that

worked and now it
don't, and I can't figure out why or what I have missed.
The only thing I haven't tried yet is to install a couple of new server
and reproduce the problem.
