I wasn't sure if this bug was major enough to warrant a sendbug. Seems like
a minor error handling issue.
If you start vi and issue the following command:
:e +file
then vi will end up trying a bad memcpy and aborting. Given that this
command is silly I'd expect an error message or just a silen
It appears to be working on two boxes I checked using a match out rule. I’m
not using a binat-to line.

If your programmer friend has any source code patches he would like to
submit then I am sure the project would love to have them.

There is no default malloc.conf file for good reasons. The performance
impacts are substantial. Additionally they stop bad behavior by aborting
the program. If you are not a programmer then you will be hard pressed to
fix the relevant applications.

There is also this thing added in 1975 called groups. By 1979 it was fairly
trivial to create a group, add users, chown and chmod files you wanted the
group to edit, and then have a beer.
This lets groups of people edit sets of files using whatever editor they
want all without ever having root.

It seems nfdump in ports is a bit behind the latest version though. 1.6.15
in particular fixed a few security issues in nfcapd.
Is sthen still the contact person for the port? I suppose I could submit a
patch.

It will be a bit before I am at a machine to build ports. Only have access
to virtual machines running small instances right now. I would be happy to
test it tonight though.

Was it an apu2c4 by any chance? I was thinking about picking one of those
up and was curious as to what kind of packet rates people were seeing with
them.

I am unwise in the ways of serial port pci cards. Should I be avoiding any
particular brands? Any pointers to more information would be appreciated.
