Does anyone know by what reason empty directories in /usr/share/doc/psd
(say, 10.gdb) still persist in base sets? And what's the recommended
alternative for them - info xxx?

some of the docs in /usr/share/doc were
Here you can find most of them http://docs.freebsd.org/44doc/
They are removed either because license or because they are out-dated.
