Overnight at charming little lodge near the airport, dinner at the lodge. Accommodation: Journeybs Inn Africa *** (D) Day 2: Transfer back to the airport to catch your flight to Windhoek. Your guide will meet you upon arrival in Windhoek the capital of Namibia, a charming city with a blend of African and European cultures. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to explore the capital, much of the architecture reflects on the German influence. Dinner will be served at the famous Joebs Beerhouse restaurant. Overnight in Windhoek. Accommodation: Casa Piccolo Guest House *** (B & D) Day 3 & 4: Travel south to the small town of Keetmanshoop, visit the Kokerboom Forest and Giants Play Ground on route. Overnight in Keetmanshoop. The next day we visit the Fish River Canyon, which is the second largest of its kind in the world. After visiting the viewpoints and exploring the lip of the canyon, we return to Keetmanshoop for the night. Accommodation: Central Lodge *** (B) Day 5 & 6: Leaving the canyon behind us, we continue north into the true Namib Desert, with its continually shifting barchansb dunes, barren landscape and an awe-inspiring sense of space. Watch a dramatic sunrise over the worldbs largest dunes, then walk the awesome Sossusvlei dunes, visit Dead Valley and explore Sesriem Canyon. Accommodation: Tsauchab River Camp *** (B & D) Day 7, 8 & 9: Travel via the Kuiseb Canyon and Walvis Bay to Swakopmund a coastal town surrounded by lunar landscapes and the prehistoric Welwitchia plants. Enjoy an interesting visit to the very unique Hoba Meteorite. Return to Winhoek for the night or it is off to Rundu in Kavango land, overnight on the Angola border. There are daily safaris and boat cruises scheduled from our lodge to the Chobe National Park. Overnight at Kasane - Botswana Accommodation: Chobe Safari Lodge **** (B, D & Game Activities) Day 15: Cross the border at Kazungula to Zimbabwe for a visit to one of the natural wonders of the world and there is no finer place to immerse yourself in the majesty of the Victoria Falls. Enjoy lunch at the Victoria Falls hotel, before returning to Kasane for the night. Accommodation: Chobe Safari Lodge **** (B, D & Game Activities) Day 16: Leisurely morning in Kasane before visiting a unique border post, on a river cruise to the confluence of the Chobe & Zambezi Rivers. This is the bonly place in the world where 4 countries meetb, namely Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe. After lunch, we travel to Nata for the night. Dinner can be enjoyed at the lodgebs restaurant. Accommodation: Nata Lodge - Luxury Tents *** (B) Day 17 & 18: Travel back to South Africa to Madikwe on the Botswana border, the third largest game reserve in South Africa. Arrive in time for lunch and an evening game drive. Explore the African bush, in search of the bBig 5b and a host of other animals. This reserve is also well known for its cheetah and Cape wild dog populations. Overnight in Madikwe Game Reserve. Accommodation: Madikwe River Lodge ***** (B, L, D & 2 x Game Activities) Day 19: After breakfast, a leisurely morning / game drive, we travel to O R Tambo International in Johannesburg to catch your evening flight home.
