I have been struggling to figure out how to make ppp initiate negotiation unsuccessfully. Can someone help me with a simple ppp.conf that does a 'set device !/path/to/some/prog' that will initiate negotiation? I have a prog that waits for input from stdin and logs any input into a /tmp/logfile,
