Hello everyone, I recently got lots of log messages of the form
Nov 10 00:24:07 puffy smtpd[8419]: smtp-out: Enabling route [] <-> some.redacted.ip.address (some.redacted.ip.address) Nov 10 00:24:11 puffy smtpd[8419]: ada98c6f333577d7 mta event=connecting address=tls://some.redacted.ip.address:25 host=some.redacted.ip.address Nov 10 00:25:26 puffy smtpd[8419]: ada98c6f333577d7 mta event=error reason=Connection timeout Nov 10 00:25:26 puffy smtpd[8419]: smtp-out: Disabling route [] <-> some.redacted.ip.address (some.redacted.ip.address) for 15s for several ip addresses (3-4, all in the same range). There is no corresponding message in mailq, so I do not get why opensmtpd tries to connect to this addresses. Restarting smtpd stoped this, but can someone enlighten me what has happened there?
