When doing track analysis via the 'analysis' panel, selecting tracks
and 'Analysis', there is no progress information.
Straight after clicking Analysis, it adds the tracks to the analysis,
and the ui freezes until all the analysis is scheduled, or whatever.
Then it does the Analysis, the ui is

pulled in ratings, git git pull with the pr number. Then i merged
master into it. I git pulled the WriteAudioTags pr, switched to it,

I'm a dj, living live on the edge, .. that is, im using the master in
a live enviroment, plus a couple of branches pulled in, (WriteTags and

I am going to be using mixxx in a live enviroment, I don't want any
problems. Mixxx is going to sequence dancing weekend, in Timaru.
I have the ability to do computer stuff, thou, this will be my first
time using mixxx on windows, don't have linux set up on this laptop,
and not sure how difficult
I have a Nostromo N52 id like to use as a controller for mixxx, to
trigger samples etc, how is this possible, without mixxx taking my
entire actual usb keyboard? ignore the mouse portion, i kinda took
apart my n52.. and the mouse part isn't connected anymore.
With the current master, I would like to write out metadata to a unloaded
mp3's id3 tags, how do I accomplish this?

Just got my controller working with mixxx, and turning my jogs to
seek, crashes mixxx after about 5 seconds of jogging.
Seems to happen when the jog speed is slow.
With Ubuntu ... 16?, and the hdjmod-dkms module, is it possible to
get the hercules DJ console mk1 up and running? or do i need to do the
usbquirk.c edit?

Yes, glad it wasn't just me. its to do with the versioning system in
master. Will submit a patch for this later today.

Wow, Mixxx HEAD is one hungry hippo. Can't run a webbrowser (with flash
loaded), Second life and mixxx comfortably, without the risk of out of
memory crashing or cpu/gpu saturation. Unfortunately, ill have to pull
back my mixxx to pre-soundrefactor i think, until either the resource

I've done a mod to my git local that saves the metadata to a silent mp3,
then a file change detector watching for that file to change, runs a
command to 'play' it on idjc thereby sending the meta to stream. You want
me to tidy the patch and send it for inclusion in master?

Okay, my experimentation of mixxx bisecting has killed sqlite3.. ive
reinstalled it and the dev, ive git branch'ed to presoundfactor, which is
the branch i previously compiled and worked well.. and scons is still
reporting that the lib doesn't work.

I need to get the git repo for back then, when i knew it had no problems
with secondlife's client and mixxx running at the same time, need to go
back to a good situation, right now, secondlife's client and mixxx are
unusable together.

exact revision.. but i had to go to ubuntustudio 14.04 to compile the
libtag2 version...

Okay, the new LateNight skin is great, but its missing the Master bpm stuff
of the old LateNight 4 deck variant. I loved making one deck the master,
and slaving my actions to it, using a 'sync' lock, long press of Sync
button. Okay, when that deck ended, and i forgot to make the mixer bpm the
Woohoo. Dj'ed today using the tip of the master. No problems!

Crazy idea, what about annotated track markers? Hotcues without
hotcueability, a dj would position the track where he wants a marker, click
a button or do something to drop a marker, which pops up a text entry box,
he enters in a short label, saves, and it appears before the marker.
