I dont think there is any specific reason for that and don't see any reason to
not use "SamplerX,volume" instead "SamplerX,pregain". Any objections?

I just wanted to ask: Why does the GUI control the "pregain"
MixxxControl for Sampler volumes instead of "volume" (and leaving
"pregain" at unity?)
