The portaudio (libportaudio-dev) in Ubuntu Gutsy (7.10) was not compiled with jack support. You will need to compile the latest snapshot of PA (http://www.portaudio.com/archives/pa_snapshot_v19.tar.gz). So we'll probably release beta1 this weekend. If I had to guess, and this is a big guess, I would say beta->final will probably be around 2 months, depending on how many problems we find and how fast we fix them. I can't remember exactly how long it took for 1.5, probably more like 3 months. Adam

There is a way to turn off those warnings. However if we're keen on transitioning to pure Qt4 it might be better to leave it on. I'd like to be able to turn on warnings as errors some day though, it helps to find a lot of bugs. > This is a beta release. So compiler warnings are less of a problem
