Hi there,

I recently acquired an Iomega Buz via ebay, with a view to archiving
some vhs tapes.

I'm running fedora core2, on a via chipset [unfortunately]. mjpeg-tools
has been compiled from source from the latest release.

The zoran module seems to load correctly, but lavrec reports 'no signal'
when instantiated in autodetect mode, and when I specify the
input channel, I end up with a 'black screen' video.

dmesg is reporting 'badness', but I can't work out why.

Is this a hardware failure in the Buz?
Is this something to do with my Via chipset?
Am I looking at a useless piece of hardware?

Any pointers greatly appreciated.

Cheers

shardcore.
