Just recompiled from CVS. Y4mtoqt is not buidling, all other y4mtools
have a .o and exe file but his one.
If someone has a quick fix please; kinda urgent here.
System is open SUSE11 X86_64. Packman repo is missing out on this one as
well it seems.

Sorry for the confusion 8/10 bits.. it is actually 8 bits as you recalled it.
Anyway, the scripts I am using are ending with :
some instructions | y4mscaler -O chromass=422 | y4mtoqt -o test.mov
As for gmerlin I need to give it another go a step at a time.

I am not clear enough, sorry.
I can not read files produced with y4mtoqt.
lqtplay is telling me about a bad header and mplayer is running without any
display.

absolutely need a soundtrack
If yes then question (mail#) 2 is resolved

An audiotrack is NOT required. Most of the time the files I create
are without audio since I've got that as a separate .aiff file
