What if you explicitly define the POIs on the map? Taking a building with
amenity=supermarket as an example, you might want to define a bank=atm POI
somewhere near the entrance and amenity=supermarket, building=entrance at
the entrance.
Why would
Hi Martin,
Why would someone want to tag an extra supermarket right at the
antrance and tag it as supermarket and entrance?
Because contemporary GPS receivers do not work well indoors, it would
seem to make sense to have navigation instructions to the main entrance
of the building. You
Those people using MapTk will be interested to know that a new version
has just been released (2.7.2) - among other things, it fixes the
problems with multiple lines/POIs that have extended types.
Also, does anyone know if any of the extended type POI codes do not
show a little dot in the middle

Hi!
POIs that have no address tagged get Fix my address in the Info
screen. That is OK for restaurants, shops, etc. but there are also many
POIs that have no address, e.g. bus stops. So there Fix my address
makes not so much sense. What do you think?

I've listened to that argument for a while and I'm tired of it.
And I have tried to fight this anarchy and I got tired of it. So I accepted it
as a fact and became much more relaxed and satisfied with OSM :-)

What if you add a list where one can add explicitely which POIs should
be generated (supermarket, shop, restaurant, etc.)?
I would like to have some action commands for the lines and polygons style
files, where you could specify, that an extra

Hello,
I know that mkgmap does not include the index in the gmapsupp file. If
you want this you have to use MapSource to build the gmapsupp.
Is there any plan for mkgmap to support this? What are the technical
limitations that prevents it to do it?
Thanks,
N.
Hi Felix,
it sounds like Murphy, isn't it?!? :-)
I am very surprised if this patch fixes routing problems. It only closes
some incomplete polygons outside the bounding box. Not more and not less.

municipalities. He integrated a function to maptk to correct this data
