I was not really able to pin down the cause of a routing issue I
obtain on both nüvi 755 and Oregon 550. (using mgkmap 1652)

Since r1627 region and country info is not displayed in MapSource when
you search for a place that is tagged in the form
is_in=province;region;country;continent. If it's tagged using comma
instead of semicolon in the is_in tag it doesn't seem to be affected.

Garmin thinks they are really important, so they show up everywhere.
Perhaps I will delete them since nearly noone nowadays needs an external
