I just checked that in City Navigator many streets can be found under several cities. Especially in Vienna and other cities that are both a Land and a city this would be very useful. Although I would like to be able to define that I can search for streets in both the english name city, as well

In my typ file, the subtypes for extended polygon types work fine now with mkgmap-r2140. The name of the txt file is now the name of the typ file which works great too. Also the typ file that is written to the output dir, works as expected. Thanks Steve! __

Here some stats: Germany, admin_level 8, name prefix: "Gemeinde " = 658x (!) "Stadt " = 67 Austria, admin_level 8, name prefix: "Gemeinde " = 1925x (!) My recommendation: - "Gemeinde " should be removed by default for germany and austria - "Stadt " should be corrected by the mappers Klaus --

converted a pbf file to osm with convert osm and pbftoosm the file size = 20 gb in size after a 937 mb pbf file but when i go to split the 20 gb file into smaller parts before combining with mkgmap to img file . the splitter has a major failure in the main section . any ideas appreciated Stephen _
