What happens if a city name is like Halberstadt? Will it be filtered into
Halber?

I just checked that in City Navigator many streets can be found under
several cities. Especially in Vienna and other cities that are both a
Land and a city this would be very useful. Although I would like to be
able to define that I can search for streets in both the english name
city, as well
I don't think so because the searchstring is "Stadt ". But I'm not sure
if there are other false positives so I think it would be better to fix
these things in osm-data with name:prefix.

Alas! I have just modified my macros for the name as generated in the
previous version. I'll have to change again when I next update mkgmap.
How about a ---type-file-name= option?

In my typ file, the subtypes for extended polygon types work fine now with
mkgmap-r2140.
The name of the txt file is now the name of the typ file which works great too.
Also the typ file that is written to the output dir, works as expected.
Thanks Steve!

No, I think in Germany we are using for "Stadt Erfurt" name=Erfurt
name:prefix=Stadt.

Here some stats:
Germany, admin_level 8, name prefix:
"Gemeinde " = 658x (!)
"Stadt " = 67
Austria, admin_level 8, name prefix:
"Gemeinde " = 1925x (!)
My recommendation:
- "Gemeinde " should be removed by default for germany and austria
- "Stadt " should be corrected by the mappers
